RE: 617 5500rpm - Biohazard - 07-05-2011 LOL Holy thread bump Batman!! RE: 617 5500rpm - dieselboy - 07-05-2011 (07-05-2011, 02:46 PM)Captain America I personally saw 5500 RPM this weekend. His car hauls ass! Lol it would have been faster if it wasn't 103* outside. As for the possibility of my tach reading wrong i have put in a new complete assy and it still reads the same. RE: 617 5500rpm - Captain America - 07-06-2011 Yes, Yes, and Yes. We could have set up a mister!... RE: 617 5500rpm - hansebanger77 - 07-06-2011 (02-25-2011, 02:52 PM)ForcedInduction(02-20-2011, 04:17 PM)dieselboy Yup. My car with the hy35 pulls way harder 2800-5500 than stock turbo at the same boost. WOOOW! nice grafik! it fits 1 at 1. i testet a 3.07, 165kmh in 3 gear do you have this picture with all gears and 3.29 and 2.xx diff thanks RE: 617 5500rpm - Alastair E - 07-07-2011 Hmmm..... Trouble is, These 20 odd year old Speedometers are Not Accurate! All and every M.B. Ive ever owned, in comparison to a Sat-Nav at constant speed Reads High... My current 300TD At 70 indicated on Sat-Nav, the speedo reads 81 mph, on the flat with cruise cont on... At 35 MPH on Speedo, we got 28MPH on sat-Nav.... It has the correct size tyres and is standard 'diff'/gearbox wise, --as fitted by M.B,.... --Its been a similar story plus or minus a few MPH with Every M.B. Ive ever owned and had sat-Nav running in! --Tried two different Sat-Navs anyhow.... So, Unless you've re-calibrated your speedo--seeing its so old--You may Think you're doing a ton, but prolly only in the late 80'S! RE: 617 5500rpm - Captain America - 07-07-2011 Ummm. My SD speedo was only 1-2mph off at 85mph compared to GPS... RE: 617 5500rpm - dieselboy - 07-07-2011 Yeah with my 85mph speedo and 3.07 gears I was about 1 mph off according to gps. With my 160mph speedo and 2.65 diff I'm actually reading 2mph slow at 80. RE: 617 5500rpm - mike-81-240d - 07-13-2011 At 60mph on the speedo my GPS says 60.7mph. RE: 617 5500rpm - Alastair E - 07-13-2011 Hmm.... Strange--I wonder, How come you guys in the States are having accurate speedos but here in Europe, we havent.... --Poss something to do with the GPS? RE: 617 5500rpm - Syncro_G - 07-13-2011 (07-13-2011, 05:31 PM)Alastair E Hmm.... My vdo mechanical speedometer on my G Wagen is spot on. 31 inch tires and the right gear drive set up on the speedometer output on the transfer case. the old mechanical (edit: speedo) should be reliable. However, any changes to tire size will mess up the reading. RE: 617 5500rpm - Captain America - 07-14-2011 (07-13-2011, 05:31 PM)Alastair E Hmm.... Very strange. When I check speedo vs GPS on my cell phone I usually have a lock on between 8-10 satellites. Maybe the US is holding out on you Uk guys RE: 617 5500rpm - 300D50 - 07-14-2011 Where the hell did you get that image! Is it auto-generated?
