Also, indirect injection engines tend to make a lot more heat when on power. So if you have a turbo that can make peak power of 300hp in DI with high backpressure and charge air temps, that's definitely not a good turbo for IDI engine. Didn't bother looking at compressor map of the mentioned turbo, I assumed it's quite similar to others of the same size. I've got MB 2359v waiting for my other 605 and aiming for 250hp tops, even though I know it can make 300ish hp on a CDI.
