RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - Greazzer - 05-05-2015 Thanks Richard ! RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - Greazzer - 07-24-2015 I finally got my wire mesh headlight grills attached. I like them. I thought otherwise, thinking they would look too bling bling or gaudy. They will work out. Got the rear quarter on the driver's side fixed too. Very happy with the work. Looks about new in my book. Next is turbo engine install and interior ... RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - Greazzer - 07-24-2015 Some close-ups of the wire mesh headlight guards. MB can make an accessory ... RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - Greazzer - 08-22-2015 Finally got enough AMG rims (period correct ATS 15") with tires mounted -- needed correct lug bolts. Always "one more thing" before something is done. Time to chose which finish I like best. Looking at color matching as personal favorite. Got the turbo short block home today, and on the stand. RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - led-panzer - 08-23-2015 Good luck Mark! If you end up finding a source for an MLS head gasket I'd definitely be in for one. Of course contributing to setup/tooling fees accordingly. Shops I've talked to have dismissed me upon hearing "Mercedes" RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - Greazzer - 08-31-2015 The interior pieces are trickling back from the upholstery shop now. Got most things sorted, organized, and staged for total interior completion by October / November. Here are the B-Pillars, and shifter console with new boot. All red leather. I think once things start going back in, the interior will really pop. Even going with the red seat belts. Next pieces to be done this week are the left and right side dash panels, Finally found the ones which clip and not screw in. RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - mike-81-240d - 09-01-2015 Welcome to the ATS "penta" cartel. RE: The Sleeper -- Part Deux - Simpler=Better - 09-01-2015 Have you done any head work? I'ts pretty obvious what need to get trimmed when it's taken apart.... |
