1991 350SD with $10,000 Dealer Rebuild - playadude - 11-29-2010 Hi, I'm buying a car with a "$10,000 dealer rebuild" and a $5,000" rebuilt transmission. Car has 150,000 miles. Engine was rebuilt by dealer, under warranty 70,000 miles ago. Rebuilt transmission was installed 35,000 miles ago. I live in Denver. Any suggestions on what I can do to help the car perform at my altitude? (It is coming from sea level) Thank you. RE: 1991 350SD with $10,000 Dealer Rebuild - ForcedInduction - 11-29-2010 A VNT will give the 3.0 much more torque without bending the rods like a 3.5 RE: 1991 350SD with $10,000 Dealer Rebuild - George3soccer - 11-29-2010 With the motor being rebuilt, and with relatively better diesel fuel now available. I think he should be just fine. |
