wich feulpump do I need?????? - jan v deelen - 01-24-2012 hi guys i'm from holland and new to this forum. (but i like it ) i'm building an 209 VAN whit an OM605 engine. on this build i'm keeping the electronic IP, but as a daily i drive a 1985 W201 2.0D in this car i'm planing to build an OM606 whit an manual IP. but i dont now wich to use. first whit an original turbo, to see what it does. can anyone tell me wich pump to use and what to modify? greets from holland RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - aaa - 01-24-2012 For the 606 you'd use a 603 pump. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - jan v deelen - 01-24-2012 (01-24-2012, 03:37 PM)aaa For the 606 you'd use a 603 pump. Oke thanks but what do I need to modify on the feul pump to get it Working on boost? Greets Jan RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - hansebanger77 - 01-25-2012 for more fuel.... some adjustment you can read the big IP Thread. for big power u must change the elements in your pump. -Hans RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - jan v deelen - 01-25-2012 oke thanks hans. but what i still don't get is how an IP from an NA engine delivers more feul on boost? greets jan from holland RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - erling66 - 01-25-2012 The easiest thing is to get a pump from a 603 turbo engine, it will give you more fuel with boost. Or you can use a 603 non turbo or a 606 w124 non turbo pump, you need to modify the pump. It is quite complicated and you need to have well knowledge about how a pump work. Or you can send the pump to Myna or PP diesel in Finland, they can modify it for you and change elements if you want more than 175hp. Please make a tread with your 209 van project with photos. That will be cool to see RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - jan v deelen - 01-25-2012 oke thanks erling. what do you sugest on the 605, to keep te electronic IP from the C250 or build it whit an manual from an 602 turbo or non turbo? im now getting te engine out of the W202 and the electric seems a lot of work to get out and put it in the 209. what is the best, and cheapest way to do it? greets. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - tomnik - 01-26-2012 Hi, best way for both engines is to use a turbo pump (603 and 602, both turbo) You can also buy a n/a pump and replace the governor for a turbo governor. Or I can sell you my current 603 turbo pump with already installed 7.5mm Floyd elements as a complete package for the 606 project. Tom (01-25-2012, 04:55 PM)jan v deelen oke thanks erling. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - erling66 - 01-26-2012 I agree with Tom. Unless you are very good at electronics and have a great interest in solving the problems involved with using the electronic 605 IP. So if you can find a 602 turbo pump, use it and install larger elements. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - jan v deelen - 01-26-2012 hello, i'm making an thread of the 209 Van build. first i make some photo's tomorrow. of the things i have done so far. but Tom, how much do you want for your 603 turbo IP? if i'm gonna buy an IP from an 602 turbo or none turbo (if i"m gone mod. the gorvernor) what do i need to now, are there diverent types? maybe somone has a picture of the IP i Need.? till then i'm searching this forum for usefull info. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - tomnik - 01-26-2012 Hi, take any 5 cylinder pump from a 602 engine. Turbo governors have an ALDA which looks similar to n/a ADA but with the difference that the n/a thing has a small tube vertically (whereas the turbo ALDA has an angled small tube that ends horizontally. Send me the Bosch part number 0 400 75 XXX and I can tell if its a turbo pump. Tom RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - erling66 - 01-27-2012 Just look at the engine, if it has a stock turbo, it has a turbo pump or not if it doesn't. 602 non turbo pump are cheap (I can sell you one for 100 euro + shipping) but 602 turbo pump are almost impossible to find here, maybe easier in Holland? RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - jan v deelen - 01-27-2012 Hi guys Thanks for you support, and thinking. I will look for an turbo pump but if I can't find one. I will look for the possibility of modify an non turbo pump. And tom how much do you want for your 603 pump.? RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - hannes_s - 01-27-2012 I am also interested in possibility of modifing a non turbo pump, because where i live, I can buy a non turbo pump for ~20-50€ but there are no turbo pumps for sale around here. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - tomnik - 01-27-2012 the professional solution is to replace the n/a governor by a governor off a turbo pump (any 60x M-turbo pump). If no turbo governor is available you can add a boost actuator to the shaft of the stop lever. But this takes some fabrication and does not look stock. Quick and dirty is to just use the n/a pump but with pre boost smoke. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - hannes_s - 01-27-2012 Are there any topics/pictures about how to do this? RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - tomnik - 01-28-2012 I remember a picture of a Myna pump with the ALDA on the shaft. Do a search for "myna". According to the part number it should also be turbo. Tom RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - aaa - 01-30-2012 They both look like NA pumps, based of the ADA instead of ALDA. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - tomnik - 01-30-2012 (01-30-2012, 06:21 PM)aaa They both look like NA pumps, based of the ADA instead of ALDA. this is new style ALDA. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - tomnik - 02-01-2012 basically yes, depending on the condition of the pump. Already a shop in the US who can do the job? Tom RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - JustPassinThru - 02-01-2012 (02-01-2012, 01:11 AM)tomnik ...Already a shop in the US who can do the job? Perhaps. However, most likely I would have Göran do the build. Choice of builder is not just a technical-and-price question, there is a social dimension. I have sent you a PM to explain. RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - Kennobi75 - 02-04-2012 There are some guys in netherland who do pumps, Dutch Pump Performance , they have good results http://home.kpn.nl/miekesanten/DPP%20Website/Dpp%20contact%20engels.html RE: wich feulpump do I need?????? - tomnik - 02-04-2012 do you have experience with them? Or any results on our cars/pumps? Tom |
