speedo wobble? - Purplecomputer - 03-06-2012 What gives? This issue really annoys me. Makes me feel like i have a lemon http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid42.photobucket.com/albums/e338/links156/20120306_000438.mp4 RE: speedo wobble? - sassparilla_kid - 03-06-2012 My speedo wobbles like crazy sometimes, I think its because whatever lubrication is in the cable wears out over time and then it binds for a second until it builds enough force to rotate again, then repeats the whole cycle really fast lol. That's just my guess though RE: speedo wobble? - Purplecomputer - 03-06-2012 Never thought of it that way. So could i just spray lubricant down the cable? I always figured iy had something to do with maybe a spring or something inside thr actuale guage RE: speedo wobble? - sassparilla_kid - 03-06-2012 I was told these cables are sealed on the end, so I'm not sure if they can be lubricated very effectively or not, but its worth a try!! I think some really light oil or even graphite would work best RE: speedo wobble? - Purplecomputer - 03-06-2012 (03-06-2012, 01:36 PM)sassparilla_kid I was told these cables are sealed on the end, so I'm not sure if they can be lubricated very effectively or not, but its worth a try!! I think some really light oil or even graphite would work best So i should probably pick up a new cable? RE: speedo wobble? - sassparilla_kid - 03-06-2012 I still think it would be easier to just try lubricating it or something first RE: speedo wobble? - Hercules - 03-06-2012 Lube the cable with very lite oil,10wt.or less. This usually only works if noise is the problem. Broken strands in cable causes jumping,(fix ),new cable. RE: speedo wobble? - willbhere4u - 03-06-2012 ^^^Either that or a graphite powder lube RE: speedo wobble? - Purplecomputer - 03-07-2012 Thanks guys. Ill see if lubricating works. |
