WTB late style 617 turbo prechamber - Austincarnut - 08-22-2012

I was wondering if any of you'd be interested in parting with a set of 617 prechambers, preferably the larger 14mm style. Please let me know, some how I ended up with 4 of each. To tell which ones you have, you need to look at the size of the opening where the injector nozzle will sit, where the heat shield/shim sits under the injector, there are 2 sizes on a 617, 8mm and 14mm. I need 1-2 14mm prechambers.

I have a head which I am willing to canabalize so if anyone out there needs 3 let me know if I strike a bargain here.

Donor is the OM 617.952 engine. Turbo. How do you determine the 14mm style ? What does one measure.

Thanks,

Never mind .... I figured how to measure one. It is the size of a 9.5 mm socket. That is, in-between a 9mm and 10mm 1/4" drive socket. LOL Learned something new.

BTW -- why is the 14mm better than the 8 mm ?

Directs the heat away from the pintle.

Forgot to say also the injector sets 1mm lower ,better atomization, better burn of fuel,(less smoking)
