OM603 in C124 - prop? - DiseaselWeasel - 11-21-2012 Hi! I recently bought a 300CE which I want to transform into a 300CDT with the OM603 turbo. I'm still on the hunt for a reasonably priced donor, during that time I want to gather as many info as I can. What I don't know p.e. is, if the engine resp. transmission position of M103 and OM603 differ? In other words, if I take out the M103 & 722, will a OM603 with 722 bolt to the prop or is the prop too short or too long? Different flange dias not considered right now. On the other hand I guess the engine could be moved forward/backward by modifying or DIY engine mounts? Thanks! RE: OM603 in C124 - prop? - aaa - 11-21-2012 The engine position is the same on the 300e vs 300d. RE: OM603 in C124 - prop? - DiseaselWeasel - 11-21-2012 Excellent! So a 'straight' swap and no different prop shaft needed Thanks! |
