Does anyone know 2.9ltr 602LA stock compression ratio??
I'm thinking about lowering the CR...

I used 2bar normal, 2.3bar peak but didn't holded much

Headgasket failure is not due to compression ratio. Try o-ringing the block or block and head or use another type of gasket.

Is it 22:1? all the Merc OM60# engines are 22:1, although I've heard that Ssangyong uses 18:1.

according to the SsangYong manual OM662LA is 22:1
lowering the ratio is normally used on marine engines to get higher HP
your US guys just look at Chevy 6,5 TD they use marine pistons to lower the ratio,
as long as you accept less low rpm performance and that it uses more fuel it can be done

i found the info of it....
all of 60* engines are 22:1, Mine too.......................
But.....What's the lower limit of CR???
I thought 18:1 would be great
But dunno exactly.
