Quick OM603 Question - silverzx - 11-13-2014 Do these come with an inline manually adjustable pump as standard? Found something fairly local and am interested to find out a bit more about the "standard" engine before making an offer. Would like to think a HX35 could be bodged on and "max fuel" adjusted? Even with the likes of a large free flowing exhaust, big turbo, FMIC etc? The pumps the limitation then I suppose? So a pump from an OM617 would be needed almost right away, and they have 5.5 elements as standard? I was under the impression the OM603 pump was VAC operated? RE: Quick OM603 Question - F.R.A.S - 11-14-2014 The om603 IP is 5.5mm and you can't use a om617 IP. What you can do is fit larger elements in the IP to 7.5mm or 8mm. Yes the IP is the bottle neck here. A petrol car will give more power on boost even though the fuel is running low. The diesel will not and will not even boost more then you have fuel for. You could buy an electric IP from a om606-turbo and switch the elements so you get 6mm in your om603 IP. Not the best ever if not having a diesel test bench but it will work. Then you read the "set max fueling" thread here and you might have enough fuel for 200hp.
