Pics of om617 head oil drain - scrubs - 06-17-2015 Hi, not sure if this belongs here. Looking to get a picture of a om617a heads oil drain, having valve cover leaks leads me to think maybe their not as clear as they can be n looking to clean them out Had this happen on a old Oldsmobile engine and it solved that problem and trying to do the same here. Thanks RE: Pics of om617 head oil drain - carlitosgy6 - 06-22-2015 with the head on or off? RE: Pics of om617 head oil drain - carlitosgy6 - 06-22-2015 i don't think those om will get clogged with sludge, normally they got clean with the diesel that gets into the oil pan,but i did this to solve the chronic stupid leak from the valve cover grinded some metal from the valve cover studs to let the valve cover make some extra force on the gasket, till now is working ,hopefully this will help stock bolt modified RE: Pics of om617 head oil drain - scrubs - 06-29-2015 Thanks for pics n suggestions, turns out the vacuum pump gasket was the issue RE: Pics of om617 head oil drain - carlitosgy6 - 06-29-2015 i love old diesels, they can leak everywhere haha RE: Pics of om617 head oil drain - scrubs - 07-05-2015 To my surprise, BIG SURPRISE, currently oil leak free, yeewoo !!!
