Looking to get a picture of a om617a heads oil drain,having valve cover leaks leads me to think maybe their not as clear as they can be n looking to clean them out
Had this happen on a old Oldsmobile engine and it solved that problem and trying to do the same here.

06-22-2015, 07:44 PM #3i don't think those om will get clogged with sludge,normally they got clean with the diesel that gets into the oil pan,but i did this to solve the chronic stupid leak from the valve cover grinded some metal from the valve cover studs to let the valve cover make some extra force on the gasket,till now is working ,hopefully this will help
