OM606 Boat engine - Carlos69 - 03-28-2016 Hi All first post on here and looking for a little help. I have built a marine engine with 250hp took off electronic pump and replace with mech one but finding it hard to get throttle cable from boat controls to fit to meck pump. any one done this?? Thanks RE: OM606 Boat engine - zeeman - 03-29-2016 (03-28-2016, 01:11 AM)Carlos69 Hi All On my Jeep conversions, I make a plate to go were the fuel heater was in the head and make a bracket to hold the cable and then put a carb style ball on the IP linkage. Just snap on the cable. Also made a bracket for a stiffer spring. RE: OM606 Boat engine - Carlos69 - 06-12-2016 Hi I dont think i could bend the 33c cable in that spot they are not flexible like car ones but will give it a go thanks for info RE: OM606 Boat engine - baldur - 06-12-2016 Maybe use the linkage from an OM603 with the jointed rods and the rocker arm mounted at the rear of the block. RE: OM606 Boat engine - TurboTim - 06-12-2016 Maybe have your cable pull a smaller more flexible cable. The dieselpumpuk guys have one that they want a lot of money for, and almost as much again for shipping. |
