HE200W 5cm turbo for the OM617 with stock IP - 300SD - 11-17-2023 Hi to all, I'm new to the forum: First time posting but long time reader. I'm been working on diesels and Mercedes OM617 engines for almost 20 years now. I wanna upgrade the turbo in my OM617. I have a quick question regarding what turbo will be best for the OM617 with stock IP (5.5mm) with the ALDA deleted and automatic transmission. Reading online I see 2 choices for the stock IP (Please feel free to suggest any other non-VNT turbos suitable for a stock OM617): Holset HE200W 5cm and Holset HE221W 5.5cm Does any body have any experience with any of these 2 turbos with those particular turbines sizes (5cm & 5.5cm) in the OM617? I'm thinking of going with the HE200W 5cm. I live at almost 4000 feet elevation. I mostly drive in the 2000 to 3000rpm range and planning to run at about 15 psi of boost. I hardly ever go over the 4000 rpm range but I read from a turbo test excel sheet that the HE200W 5cm will be fine over 4000 rpm if run at about 15psi to mantain a Boost/DP ratio of 1:1.1 with stable EGT's. What do you guys think of the HE200W 5cm in the OM617 with stock IP and automatic transmission? Is the Holset HE200W 5cm turbo a good choice in my case?
