Vacuum pump block off plate? - texascadillac42 - 12-04-2009

I have searched several sources, and looked for this part, but obviously have not tried hard enough...

I am in the process of putting an OM617 into my Unimog, and want to delete the vacuum pump since I have no use for it on my motor. I have seen block off plates made to cover the hole where the vacuum pump normally goes, but I cannot find a part number or source.

I am also looking for a plate that would cover up the hole where the hydraulic pump on a 300TDT would normally go, on the head.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sorry, this picture is as close as I've got to a part number. You might have to crawl through a pre-80's parts catalog to find it.

A square plate with 4 holes works fine. Mine is 1/8" aluminum.

Thanks for the pics. I figured I might have to make a hydraulic pump block off plate, which is no problem. I am hoping someone will have a PN for the vacuum pump plate. I will try calling Peach Parts Monday to see if they have any info on it.

So, your UNIMOG is not from Switzerland with the assisted brakes?

Nope, French model with manual brakes.
