manual conversion for a SDL?
no no not the benz 4 speed! but has any one adapted a gm or ford tranny for a mercedes? or dose anyone make adapter plates? im looking for eather a 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual...any help?

Expect to spend $500-1000 if you want somebody to make you an adapter and flywheel that will work.
There are plenty of common MB 5-speeds that will bolt straight to your engine from a 190D.
GREASY_BEAST these guys claim to have oneo rly! thats kinda what in looking for... but the 617 haz a different bolt patteren then the 603 right?

Yes, the OM60x series share the same bolt pattern. The 190D 2.2 and 2.5 models were common with 4 and 5 speeds.
Unfortunately those won't bolt to the OM61x series. :cry:
I don't see any reason why you couldn't use a 240D master cylinder. The primary difference between the trannys in the W123/W201 is the starter location.
i would rather have a cable clutch, but if the pedal box isent a fit that could suck... but both ways i found a 5 speed and im happy!
