As I have gotten into the W124's I am selling all the om617 mods I had been working on. $150 obo. Needs rebuild.

It needs hard parts, not just a rebuild. A few gears are chewed. I got an estimate of $2000 by Stu Ritter.

Last I checked everything was available from classic parts, however I was not checking specific part numbers, just a general inquiry. Knowing dropnosky, I'm betting he'll just fab his own Big Grin

I'm not trying to piss on your sale Rolf, I just don't want somebody to get overly optimistic about finding a cheap 5-speed.
I would have kept it myself if I had the resources to rebuild it economically.

Im gambling that I possibly have some applicable replacement hard parts out of one of the broken gearsets I have floating around here. If not, Ill widdle up a new gear out of soap stone and go really easy on it. Big Grin

by the way, what happened with the shifter? is that still floating around in someones collection?
