For a modern car I think you would be better of keeping to stock wiring etc.
But for swaps...
Myself I am looking to make big HP diesel engine for my boat and I like electronics to control smoke and torque.

Website says 1500€ = +/- 2000 usd... looks like a nice option
Duramax CP pump, nozzles, turbo(s) hmmmmm, anybody have an idea what the inside of a 613 or 648 looks like, can it handle power like a 606?

The bottom end is strong, but the nozzles are the limiting factor. AFAIK, ~70hp/cyl is the best result so far (AMG nozzles, if I'm not mistaken). The stock ecu is ok, no idea whatsoever putting a standalone controller in cdi.
