Will these fit
Will these fit
I looked on TireRack.com for wheels I would like either a 16" or 17" for a little nicer look and performance. I used a 1998 CLK350 for the vehicle was this the correct vehicle I have a 1980 300 CD and they dont have many choices here is what I found the first pic is the one they say will fit the car but it is a 15" the second is for the 88 CLK 16". The third is a 17". What do you think of the look for the car also?
Here is there info I know the 15 will fit dont know if it would look good considering it is only a 15" The car is sock but would like to lower 1" also.

No offset is too high. 7.5" You are going to have to go with 25 or less and them maybe still need a spacer/shim. I *think* you need 18 atleast to clear the tie rods if you use a higher offset but your stance will be narrower.

If they are any wider than 6in they will hit the tie rod unless the diameter of the wheel is 18 or larger
Personally I moved the tie rods in on my car about a 1/2 inch and shorted the tie rods to gain room for my 16x8 SL wheels!
Oh my those second wheels are mighty sweet looking... Just run some fatty H&R hub centric spacers if need be.
