I've previously owned an ECU controlled DERV which I tuned from 90bhp / 160lbft to 150bhp / 260lbft.
I also currently own a Peugeot 306 1.9 XUD which is mechanically controlled by a BOSCH pump.
Once I've put the pump and bigger turbo on this should be lookin to go from 90bhp to at least 165bhp.I'm looking for a mechanically pumped RWD car on a budget. The W123/4 looks epic with a big turbo on.
However Vauxhall Omega's go dirt cheap (£500-750) which come with a BMW 2.5 TD engine (only problem being its ECU driven).

To be honest I'm not planning on transplanting an engine ai I'll take whatever comes and build upon it. Also its to be done on budget. With the omega being a lor newer its easier to get parts etc.. end of day whatever pops up cheap I'll buy I guess? Would be cool if a merc came along though..!
