A 617.952 build for Land Rover
A 617.952 build for Land Rover
Hi.
Im been building a 617.952 for my Land Rover. This is the second Land Rover I have built with this engine. The first Land Rover was based on a 617.912 but turbo converted by me. I use this engine because of its reability.
The truck was built by me from zero to running.
Hope you find it intresting, please ask if something is unclear.

The alternator is a Leece Neville. It's what they use on class 8 semi trucks for power. Good work on the Rover! It would be awesome to take one of my offroad rigs to Africa to complete! What transmission are you putting behind the 617? Is there something that just bolts up?
Hi Sam,
I am researching an OM917.652 in my Defender 130.
Initially I would like to get some engine specs such as dimensions and if possible some installation drawings.
Do you have any images/specs for the installation of this engine in your Defender.
I'm not sure how easy it is to get this engine in Australia.
Just starting out the research.
Thanks in advance.
George.
