can u tell me your flyweel/clutch/gearbox sulution?
And what`s your timing now? because i think 650deg is not high for 3.3 bar boost! im om 2.4 bar boost on 606 and have 720 degrees celsius. i put the temp sensor directly in one pipe of my manifold about 1intch above the zylinderhead so there is the hotterst point. i testet in the downpipe der was 550 deg with same adjustments.
thx

Excuse me guys. I am pretty sure I should be getting a pump done by Goran very shortly, and not some joe smo.

I think it was about in year 2003 I made a pump for OM601 with 7 mm elements for a guy who took this kind of video and put it to Youtube.....

The Finns have 600-700+ ft/lbs. The are miles ahead of the rest of us, so guess who I am trying to imitate?
Congratulations to you mantahead, you have put Ireland on the map closer to Finland. I am sure with a new manifold, some head work and maybe a new intake?, you will be even closer to the Finns. Imagine going to Finland on a dragrace and beat some of them? that would be something

Nothing against the marketing.
The point is that there is no need 385 hp to do that kind of burning.
And no, there was no 385 hp in that 200 D
But like jeemu says: some people talk, some people do.

It´s a automatic, Dont know yet what turbo I going to use, but i am a big fan of Schwitzer turbos.
This is a winterproject, I dont have any more houses to build on, so now its time for a car again.
( Im also a carpenter, plumber, electrician, tiler on my sparetime)

Um, is that for a GT22V? If yes, where do I get one? I sent off my GT22V's exhaust housing three months ago to I-won't-say-who, to get a mating flange made, and it is beginning to look like I will never see that housing again...

Oh. Drat. I was looking at the "GT2256V" under your handle and had my hopes up...
hi,
i have being doing some thinking, some people think i should be maybe making more power with my current set up. What i would like to know is:
Are there any dyno graphs out there of a completly standard om605 engine with bigger turbo and modified pump making more power????????
The other thing to remember is: if i run my car on inerita dyno it will make 400+bhp. I know this as i have a lot of experience with different types of dyno.
wayne.
(11-29-2011, 01:13 AM)tomnik Wayne,
from my side I was wondering about the flat at 5500.
Simply trying to understand what happens there.
This shape of the curve is similar to what you had in the past:
Climbing and suddenly flatting. Wasn't that the reason for increasing max. rpm?
Tom
hi,
i didn't expect power to keep climbing over 5500rpm as i know this is nearly impossible on standard cams.
The reason i want the high rpm now is:
I intend doing some head and cam work to get the power to rise with rpm.
i only wanted to do the pump once, rather than sending it back to get more rpm and then send it back again etc.
I had to keep the engine standard at the minute for the challange to compare results.
Still, no one can show me standard om605 engine dyno graph to compare.

(11-25-2011, 07:48 AM)mantahead Hi,Is this the newest result you could find?
For example on Jeemu 466hp run he had 662nm which is 488 lb ft. Check ouy his graph under. OM605 dyno thread

Lines don't cross at 5250rpm because the units are hp and Nm, not hp and lb/ft. Also the lines don't cross if the torque and HP are scaled differently (Nm scale 0-1000Nm, HP scale 0-500hp for example)
hi,
i was out drifting last sunday week ago.
I didn't get any videos but found these on youtube. You will see the merc, only diesel there. Don't forget this is only my second time drifting.

Looks like you are getting the hang of it! It looks really cool out there and seems to have sufficient power. Has anything been done with suspension?
definitely the best sounding thing there!

Manta pooping on the car at the end
hi,
at the last days drifting i had some overheating problems due to bursted radiator. Then i had no compression. I never opened the engine until last week. I have drag racing next sunday that i want to go to as i never got last year.
Engine results:
badly blown head gasket
valves not seating properly
cam chain sprocket bolts had came loose.
This is head from my other engine which had leaking valves in cyclinder 3
This engine also had one bad piston. It looks like it has taken something through at a time.
i kinda made 1 good engine from 2 bad ones.
All back together and in car. Should be up and running over Easter holidays

Hey Wayne, Easter holiday is over, did you get your engine fired up, and how does it sound with your new camshafts?
