I have a 5 speed manual transmission that i got from a 190e 2.6. I bolts right up to my OM603 but the drive shaft from the auto is too short and i cant find any drive shafts for a manual w126 in US. Does anyone know where i can find a drive shaft that will work? I really need one! ThanksSmile

I imagine you'd have to modify one. How long is your auto shaft? It's a long shot but maybe a w124 shaft works or would be easier to modify.

There is a stock 5-speed 300e that driveshaft would be the right size but your better off measuring and taking your auto driveshaft to be modified at a driveshaft shop. Where it can be balanced and you can properly install it and it will be a hell of alot cheaper and easier then tracking down a rare piece. I have a feeling that the driveshaft flex plates are different auto to manual in W201/W124.

1983 300TD : 4 Speed : SLS Delete : More. Daily Deathcab
1987 190E/16v/OM603 : 5 Speed : SLS Delete : Lots More..W201 Project

I would be surprised if the w124 drive shaft would fit a w126 long wheel base?

I was going to have mine modified when I get my 6spd in my 87 300sdl

Ah the long wheelbase, that guarantees having to lengthen it huh.
