question
who had this turbo installed on 606 engine> with 7.5 elements
on what RPM -+ it start to spool
will i have any boost till 2000 rpm??
isnt it too big for dayly drive or prefer HX35

i dont want a turbo to enter at 2500-3000rpm
i need it to boost at 1500 already
to have a good start at dayly drive

There are a few custom turbine housing for the hX35 and HX40 that have a much smaller housing, the .63 i got for my H1C/HX35 is about a 7cm housing vs the OE 14cm
Do some Google searches.

Right, what im saying is buy a Big H1C or a HX35 and get a small exhaust turbine housing. I bought my 7 blade big H1C and a custom (small single scroll) exhaust turbine housing all for $400.00. Im sure you wont have full boost at 1500 but closer to 2200 rpm or so.
Just my thoughts...

no problem with a bit later full boost
i have it till 6000rpm
i affraid that with stock HX40 i will not have any boost at all till 2000rpm
and it will be a turtle

Some hx35 and hx40 have the same compressor... Hx40 with 14cm housing is pretty good! Some HY35 has superprofile compressorwheel and 9cm housing as standardWink

I am with EDH, I think a HY35 would be super quick spool! Maybe put an external gate on it to ensure you have enough wastegate, or go crazy on porting the internal gate Big Grin

'82 300D -3" straight pipe, ALDA deleted, 3in1 glowshift gauge, HX30, egr-less manifold, A/W intercooler Big Grin
'14 Ram 6.7l cummins -G56 handshaker, wishing it was deleted
