Bad sound, it sounds like a injector sticking, but it is not as the sound do not go away, when i loosen one by one injector pipe ?
And the sound is there and then suddenly not and the again ?
Mae by a sticking hydraulic valve actuator ?
Anyone had the same problem ?

I'm not an expert but it sounds similar to my friend's VW2.0 petrol that has a stuck lifter

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?

what is the km on the engine and do you know the history on the engine
is it worse in the morning after standing still the whole night thats normaly the way and bad lifter is spotted
to check take the rocker cover off and try to press on the lifter with a big screw driver but only on the valves that closed then turn the engine until you have checked all, if they are faulty you will be able to press them down so there is a gap between the cam and the lifter thats whats make the noise.
if you need new ones dont buy in Denmark thats to expensive buy on ebay UK or Germany

That's not a lifter. The sound is too rough. Leaky lifters make the same noise over and over. Looks like it's rattling at crankshaft speed.

The history on the engine is 160000 width 100% service history when i bougt, it then 130,000 as suber turbo in my car total 290,000
That should be nothing.

Yes you are right it sound nasty, i would say you are right, if it was not that the sound go away now and then, but i will found out tomorrow.
Then i test injectors and valve lifters.

Higher RPM = louder and more consistent.
No had not checked compression. NO TOOL :-(

My guess would be pump timing has gone too early on one or several cylinders.

You could turn the injection pump as late as possible and see if it gets better or worse.

I Was lucky it was just 2 pcs of sticking injecktor, it was not closed that meant it was injecting much to early giving this bad sound,

I put injector in from other spare engine, now runs absolutely fine.
One injector was really bad and the other was a little bad, but enogth to still have a little bad sound when i was loosen the injector pipe to locate the problem

Lucky, my engine made a clatter clatter sound for about 100ft the stopped dead two weeks ago.... Totally lock up now:-(
