larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?
I'll put $10 towards a dyno run

Auber ins gauge is the price of a tank of fuel...or arduino like winmutt.
or borrow a multimeter that accepts K type thermocouple inputs

Yup, last of the pre-merger with DES "Dresdner Einspritz Systeme". That was a while ago. I thought you installed them ?

Post up some vids of the off road madness and hill climbing dude!!
Fyi everybody, Captain lincoln locked his diff and put some gnarly offroad tires on in preparation for King of the Hammers
Cap, the masses need visual updates man! What tires did you end up throwing one? I've had my AT2s on for over a year and love them, but my 300SDL is going to need some tire love shortly. Hoping to make it out to Hammer Town next year.
I talked to him yesterday so hopefully he updates when he gets a chance, he also built some HD tie rods
FUCK MY LIFE WHERE DO I START WITH THE UPDATE >>>>>>>>>>
Well heres when I towed a 5000lb F1shitty (from the trunk hook) 10 miles on the frwy haha
On time on the way to work (I manually shift every gear because I hate this fucking 722 trans) I got stuck in 1-2 gear..... Hydraulically.... Mechanically I could put in park and the pawl would catch but the car still wanted to drive forward and no reverse! Yay! So I pulled the pan and found the pin from the rooster comb was not in the orange thing... was broken. stupid plastic. So I figured some shit out with the resources I had and made an aluminum version. It will soon jam and break again As I found out. the aluminum had was not large enough diameter
Weighed it!
Went offroading with that F1shitty and of course it fucking broke so now I had 4 ppl in my car and I was draggin ass everywhere! Well folded up fuel lines so made some fresh ones.
This is how you change guide rod (radius arm) bushing, no?
I started to make an aluminum coolant expansion tank because Plastic SUCKS! ... but I haven't finished it yet...
Remember I said the trans broke again. fuuuuu Well I fixed it moar better this time!
Enough for tonight guys, I'll be back in a day or two to finish this crap thanks to Sassparilla_Kid
Where did you tie your water lines for the A/W intercooler?
Do you have a separate heat exchanger for that?

Mine will be plumbed similar but I don't think I will be moving the stock expansion tank...

Yeah, I'm real lost there too. Thats the worlds most complicated air/water plumbing I've ever seen.
I would suggest not using the factory ac condenser as the heat exchanger, the tube size is way to small for flow. If your using a bosch pump with 3/4 hose you'll want a fin or bar/plate type HE, or a single tube type cooler with 3/4 tubing.
I tend not to listen to that forced induction guy, for someone who thinks hes an expert, his installs look like a hookers prolapsed colon.
Just build another aluminum tank for the IC system and keep it simple. BTW start of the coolant tank looks great! Nice welds
(02-26-2015, 09:50 PM)Mylesofsmyles you lost me in that drawing...

(03-01-2015, 07:50 PM)wolverine Awesome! If your like me, you probably have very little time to work on your own shit.
I'm interested to see how the Amsoil unit works. I had posted something about it a while back but got no response. Seems like the way to go. Keep us updated!!

Picked up a '95 Cougar IRS diff with "track Lock" (limited slip) to fab into the 300. got it for $140 and it only had 88k miles on it. Still looked new inside.
Offroading with my buddy (in his WJ) and my girlfriend (in her XJ
Then a shot someone posted of me last year at KOH
What kind if lock up are you looking at with that LSD, 60/40?

Looks fun!
Teh % lockup would be determined by the bevel of the face of the spider gears. Since 8.8 gears can be flipped around and have the same gear face on both sides, they have the same % lockup in both directions. The percentage is an expression of lockup forces in relation to input torque. More input torque, more lockup.
The separation forces of the spider gears is what determines the % lockup. If the spider gears got a sharper angle, the % would go down as the separation forces are reduced. If the gear teeth were shorter with a flatter angle, the % lockup with increase.
The spring provides an additive lockup, not a percent. If it provides enough force on the clutches to take, say, 50 lb-ft of torque to make one tire spin in relation to the other, that doesn't change with respect to input torque.

I have more videos from this years KOH to upload still. The videos previously posted are all open diff and you can see wheel speed. You will notice in after video where it greatly suffers
