Do it right send it to Dieselmeken. Or there is a thread on here where he trained someone stateside to do it. That is young and I'm unsure of results. I forget how much to send overseas. At least a grand for your product.

I haven't called that number in about 10 months. Maybe he has a core. He had one when I purchased but that was a lucky case I think. Oh an I had a 617 "M" pump done.

And that's not private info, he has a website somewhere that i got it off of.

Dieselmeken has partnered with a builder in the US. Price is about the same as he chargers, so you would save on shipping..

Yeah here is the tread for the developments on that. I just mentioned sending to dieselmeken because there isn't much of a reputation behind this yet. Maybe you do it and be a success story!

My pump is modified by dieselmeken in Sweden as at the time he was the only choice. Frankly im surprised how weird everyone is acting about the shop that Goran hooked up with. Its not like the M-Pump is rocket science for any Diesel shop. Seems to me that if you in the mind set of doing this then saving $200-300 (shipping, tax) would be in your best interest.

There are horror stories that go along with customs too.

Don't get me wrong I hope this stateside pump shop works out. I too send mine to sweden because stateside options were not alot. It seems though, that people are unhappy with the US shop customer service. Maybe they are jumping the gun who knows. Someone said 1400$ was quoted. I know that is more than i paid to have a pump done by dieselmeken shipped and all. Stateside shipping would be flat rate like 30$ in a USPS box. Like duncan said the shop should be able to do it.

I think the moral is call and find out. :-)

I'd use the stateside ship except I don't have moneys to buy an m pump, get it built, bigger turbo, intercooler, stronger transmission, new tires every six months, etc.

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

M pump is what the 601,2,3 has, as well as naturally aspirated Euro 617's (I believe), whereas turbo 617's have an MW pump. Larger elements and such are much easier to come by for the m pumps because everybody used them, whereas mw elements are more difficult to come by

I have plans to put the exact same engine in the exact same Jeep, though I'm still 6+ months away from starting
What transmission are you planning?
Please post a build thread and progress reports. I'm extremely interested in how the mileage and reliability turns out.

Yea I picked up my engine today hope its a good one the car was really clean just hit hard in the rear. Waiting on my pump hoping I can figure out where to get the elements or a place to send it. My body is off the keeps and sold my engine so this is happening fast or as quickly as possible. You have a place to get your pump done?

I'm not planning on a beast of an STD. The stock performance is fine I think, so I'll just use a 603 pump with the 6mm elements from the 606 pump. I won't need a fancy pump built.

Do you have any idea on a transmission for yours?

I'll be interested in seeing how much of the stock computer you need to keep for the gauges, lockers, etc.

Great to hear you've made a start, please post a build thread!
