I got my 3rd car running ;p
not a big thread, my new daily, because the W123 has been too
tunned to be used on the road :p
the W124 has a
it's a OM603.912, with mounted turbo from a Tahoe 6,5td
and a manuel tranny swap
and a home made 7mm 120cc pump, so the first test run
killed my driveshaft ;o

nice, im interested in the diy 7mm elements. and are you saying your using a chevy 6.5 turbo on your om603? how is that working out for you? how much boost will it run? when does boost kick in? im putting a 6.5 turbo on a 6.2 in a week or two for a buddy. and i know the guy that owned the 6.5 turbo and until he tied the waste gate closed he said it was pretty much useless...lol
Bought the elements from germany and mounted them in the pump in norway, sendt them to a shop that have a test bench and they adjusted it.
its a W124 wagon a S124 with a om 603, 91mod, with a 5 speed manuell
yes, its a turbo from a 6.5td
it work werry well with the 7mm elements, with totaly shut wastegate it starts to build presure ar 1700-2000 rpm's, and full boost att 2800-3000 rpm's

Only stock Turbo diesel exhaust, so, much black smoke ;o
but i have build a 3" now
anyone know hos much a stock 300D block can handle?
not org turbo, just aftermount
i dunno how much a stock block can take, but be sure to push the limits and let us know! back when i was a mini trucker we had a saying, build it to break it, then build it stronger. i think the same applies here. good luck and delete the road. or track.

it handle's 2 bar pretty good, so I was thinking to drive it att 1.4-1.5 or somthing :p
I'm currently building a n/a om603 with holset hx35w and 7mm diy pump. I'm thinking of running 1.4/1.5 bar boost also. I let you know how it turns out. I don't expect major problems. Yeah, there's no piston sprayers but i'm not going to go flat out all the time. And keep a good eye on my egt.
in this pictuers I had 1,8 in boost, and have been over 2 bar.
and my chevy turbo is about the same size ass you'r 35

hello i from noeway to and just bought a 300tdt where did u buy your element? 7mm? right? and where in our homecontry is a dieselworkshop, who can calibrate it? How mutch hp with 7mm element and tahoe 6.5 turbo? And what kind of turbo is it on tahoe ?

a man Named Thorbjørn vardeberg did it for me, the most of Fyksen shop's can calibrate it
with the K26-K27 borg warner from the Tahoe I think it makes about 200-250hp att 1,8bar boost, but not dyno'd
you can run a 10-12cm hx35 or hx40 with a TDT and those elements and around 2 bar boost as long as it is a stock turbo engine, I think you should have around 300-350 with the 120cc the 7mm puts out, with stock rack travel etc..

its a cut of W210 front bumper and custom made side skirts from W210 asvell :p
nothing for the moment :p
but maybe it will get a little bit bigger turbo and a DIY pump sometime.

I got the hang of a another S123, the old is gone, I bought this, had an original 617.962, with about 100.000km on the engine.
I put a 110cc diy pump and a BW K27 from mercedes atego.
it did push good on boost, for two weeks, then the engine sat hard, was'nt gonna move.
of to engine swap
put in a little bit better enginge in my taste !
a OM603.962.
it will gett a diy pump on about 120cc and the BW K27 that i hat on the 617
