Re-weld BMW 6spd
Re-weld BMW 6spd
Just posting two pictures for you of a rewelded gs6-37dz gearbox (don't mind the writing on the gearbox).
This is made for a single mass flywheel.
The gearbox is a smaller cousin to the gs6-53dz that can withstand a nuclear war. But this is a tough bastard also... Only rated for 370Nm of torque by ZF, but the older 5spd where only rated for 320Nm and they have been proved to cope with KNm here in Sweden.
This smaller gearbox is easier to fit in older cars with narrow tunnels.

larsalan I guess I need to look at this stupid ass drip shit. What you have to like mess with those elements on the pump? What a fucking hassle. then use some wire to hold the throttle open or some shit?

Smaller stuff we usually put in the blaster cabinet. But to be honest, the casting in this one was super clean so it was very easy to weld, and some cleaning with the angle grinder usually does the trick. We do a lot of oil pans and such and for sure it can be a pain in the a**
