I can provide the required flanges if you can send me accurate profiles of the gasket area. I can mill up to 5/8 inch in thickness if needed.

Would an exhaust manifold gasket work? What kinda cost and time are you thinking?

6 cylinder flanges cost about 150 USD (Cummins). It would take roughly a week to slip it into the work flow and ship it out. If we could get several pieces made, it would reduce the individual costs somewhat.

A manifold gasket would be ideal.

And I need 1 for a 602 and one for a 603. 5 cyl discount? =).

I see other OM603 flanges use a 40.5mm port diameter.

I'll send you a PM with contact information.

Raysorenson. If you want to get in on this, we can oblige the 5 cylinder 602.

Price is dependent on specifications of course. If you just want the 9-10 mm flange, that does reduce the costs.

I'd be in for a couple 603 flanges. If we can get enough momentum here, it would best the alternatives mentioned + s&h. Care to break down some price points for us?

10mm mild steel @ X(qty)=$Y

Not sure if thicker is necessary, is it? Different material? A sub hundred dollar piece would ROCK

Have a gasket to contribute to the cause, too.

Haha. That's the last part you weld too. After pricing all the stuff and considering the time involved, Fred's headers are starting to look reasonably priced.

I think this is a good idea. I will look into a 3/8 inch flange in mild steel and a batch run. That should bring the prices down under 100 USD for forum members. I will do the 603 engine first as there seems to be more interest at this time. I will look into other engines as we move forward.
