Stronger clutch
Stronger clutch
Clutchnet.com can make you one... That's where I got the one for my 603 car. They're here in California though but I'm sure they would ship international if you needed.

Yeah, I believe they can make whatever you want. I got the "red" package for a 2.3-16 since I'm going to use that flywheel on my car. Enough for 400hp or so but I have a feeling I might run into trans issues with the 410 I have before the clutch gives way. I need to get my IP built anyways so I'm a ways off from actually needing this clutch.
So you guys succesfully ordered from clutchnet?
"Oleg" has stopped answering my mails since halloween
The clutchkit was supposed to get shipped and I would recieve a trackingnumber.
Getting a bit anxious that he might have scammed me. Does not feel good atleast
Shit's already been paid like 4-5 weeks back.
Anyone with positive feedback from this guy/guys?

Ohhh man, you should just have ordered it from us and in Swedish to
Maybe try to call him? Should be some web calling service you could use so it's free/cheap. If you can't get through and he's not responding I'd file a claim with the card company for a refund then buy a clutch from F.R.A.S
I cheked my paypal transaction reciept.
There I found another email to clutchnet it was something like clutchnet.sales@ something something.....
Emailed there yesterday and asked where my package was.
Now I got the trackingnumber emailed to me.
He is shipping it today.
Good to finally get an explanation.
I will update here when/if it arrives.
Thanks for input
Got mine installed finally. Definitely feels strong... pedal is nice and firm and the clutch grabs quick. Going to take some adjustment since I haven't driven stick daily in a while.
So, today the kit finally arrived.
Will not be installing it just yet. (snow covered roads, so no need for this yet)
Can upload a picture of the kit if someone is interested in seeing what i got.
Will post back here when it has been tested properly
But so far so good.
Pictures please...

Check the rivets on the PP spring... mine stuck out too far and it didn't allow the PP to be flush with the flywheel so I had to grind them down a bit to clear. There's still enough metal "mushroomed" over the hole to keep it secure but just something I experienced on mine. Hopefully yours is fine and you don't have to modify it.

With the flywheel clamped down I could still move the clutch disc with my fingers. There were rivets around the outside edge that appear to hold the spring on somehow? I had to grind those down so the flywheel would bolt up flat to the flywheel and be able to grip the disc.
What number does it say on the PP???
215mm/228mm/240mm???
Just read the first posts in this thread... TAKE 2-WEEKS TO MAKE THE KIT??? This is damn spraypainted parts that the guy bought. Where is the parts that took two weeks to make??? And then it took like a month for you to get the parts.
I feel bad for you mate.

F.R.A.S- Thank you for your informative posts and commitment to this side of the sport? I truly wish your business great success!
Also as soon as my 9.5 clutch poops the bed ill be sure to contact you! Who knows maybe ill have blown up my .430 by then..
I'm sorry that the news where bad Keino. And to be true I don't see the point in dismantling a PP and rebuild it when Sachs have stronger PP available for almost any setup. And 215mm is a super weak setup to start with.
Here is a bigger picture for you...
I truly hate hustlers!!!
Oleg has been pretty bad about slow turnaround over the last couple of years and his communication is almost non-existent at times, but that's about the worst you can say about him. For those reasons I can't recommend doing business with him. I don't think he's a thief or a liar.
If you google clutchnet a little or talk to Oleg (assuming he'll ever answer the phone again), you'll find that he's pretty open about modifying stock pressure plates. He probably moves the pressure plate fulcrum, like everyone else, to increase clamping force.
The differences I can find would be in the center, the splines look different.
He remanufactured an old sachs with new goods?
Also, I cant find the "Germany" anywhere. Maybe he grinded that part out? But cant see any signs of that.
Would like to compare the inside aswell. Anyone got a picture?
Keino that doesn't look like a high spine count on the disk? Should be a 26 spline or something like that, right? I have a 6 puck sinter clutch like the one you have, its pretty horrible to drive on IMO.

yes fivespeed getrag, but i did sell the gearbox... this is all that is left from it. its also lighter than the 300D flywheel
280GE setup? I've been looking into that, but the flywheel looks far too small for a diesel, 228mm clutch with 617.931 flywheel looks more promising

i have 300GD flywheel to if its interesting, but the G-stuff is alot more expensive than w123 parts...
I missed this was for a 617. I bought the 300GD FW + clutch + pp from MBUSA new for $1200. IIRC its 9". There is a link around here that lists all the pressure plates and their pressure for the 70s and early 80s era benzes.

Installed the clutch kit last week.
It feels really nice to drive it. Almost smooter starts now compared to the original clutch
However. It slips for a small moment when going pedal to the metal. After that it holds just fine. Is that normal for a sinter clutch?
Never driven with one before.
If a sinter clutch slips something is wrong. They NEVER slips. When getting from a stand still it can produce some shatter (hugga lite in Swedish för att det greppar så jävligt). But NEVER EVER slip.
