that is a old style garret, waste gated turbo,
if i were u, i would start looking for a vnt type turbine.
waste gate type turbines dont like to blow that much , the 27psi is absolute pressure pumping, wich u have reduce 12.3psi for ambient pressure wich leaves u in the 15psi range about 1,3 bar.

if i could lay my hands on a C30CDI one , that was my best bet . if u cant use one from 613 or 648. and change the compressor, or not.
otherwise take a Reading in this info:

Yes, all of the standard vnt is to small for high hp in a prechamber dieselSad Must be a garrett gt35/38/40 vnt, but they are rare and difficult to controle...You have holset vnt but it is also hard to controleSad
If you want early boost and high hp, a well designed compound setup is the way to go I thinkSmile
A small hx35 will support 300hp in a 603 and will fit stock turbo manifoldSmile

(03-03-2015, 01:48 AM)EDH_Performance there are way bigger turbo like the GTA4508V vnt that is way to big for this projekt and other for that matters too, biggest problem is to understand the working of the turbo and to fit that big fysical, they are like monsters, twin ballbering turbo in the GTD clas will work fine but that is not direktly a shep solution, doublke GTB2056VL will work good, I have had in the past long time ago.
a GTB3576vklnr will easy handle 300hp can be find at ebay but if it taste it cost, if you want good trasient responce a serie turbo solution is great but way more complex to control if it going to be done in a good way or very good knowlege in turbo operating and selecting
If you do not control them in a good way they will be a pain in the a##### and can even brake the motor under wurst condition
But VNT can be fun woithout no silencer in the way they can control sound, vnt close and quite silent, floor it and scare the living dailight of people walking past you...

hy there , funny that i used to have the same problem as bruno, but my issue is gone now, my engine is burning 110cc, no issues with the EGP. no issues with EGT´s my turbo is the stock ML320CDI. and is limping now, na accident with sand.
very happy with it, f%&/$ happy.   my engine just rocks from 2k to 4.5k is like a rocket.
i intend to measure power , but i can´t now!!! i have a cluch problem that i need to fix before.
i belive his problema is exaust pipe. my problema dissapeared after the complete 70cm exaust pipe, just a small 35cm mufler at the end.
no silencer , just a mufler.
any how theres a lot of solutions for the EGP problem, for instance a waste gate at EGR exit, maybe the EGR valve channeled to the exaust.
if i had a 6 cyl engine i would go with the twin solution.  two of those GT20V that ussually are found in the 220CDI , and some VW/AUDI engines. in group of 3 .  i dream of having a 6 cyl engine.
regards

lol,
better to spend 600€ plus exaust, for a aplication wich will work than 400 for a aplication that does not work.
if u want something that work , buy a OM613 / 648 turbo, that will give u 300HP and over.
PM me for details about vane control.
