Ok,
So I am working on a 722.6 swap for a customer that has a N/A 606 and will be swapping later to a Turbo. I am looking at the throttle linkage for a TPS setup and realized that this will change with the turbo engine. What setup are you guys using for the mechanical pump in the turbo engines? I want to make sure that I locate everthing so it is easy to change the TPS later. Pictures would be great.
This is in a w124 chassis.

You could retain the NA throttle linkage in the turbo motor if you make a cutout in the intake manifold.

Do you just then weld in a boss for the mounting bracket?

Here's how @HoleshotHolset did his
Manifold cutout

Welded custom bracket:

Finished linkage:

Some other people attach the cable directly to the pump and use the place where the fuel heater was mounted for a bracket.

I personally don't like this solution but hey it works  Smile

Sweet. Thanks.

I like the way I am doing the TPS on the original transmission cable location with this setup. It looks factory. So when the T-engine goes in I will just do that setup. Keep it simple.
