(04-24-2015, 09:29 AM)MFSuper90 Make sure you have a 6cm^2 housing and not a 12cm. Our little engines will never spool a 12cm within reason
What's the best way to tell? I haven't the slightest clue.

Okay it's a single scroll.
I'm only getting 5 psi with the wastegate actuator removed due to A/C line.
Which way should I wore the wastegate lever to wire it closed?
I have a 38mm wastegate and T3 spacer on the way.
I believe it should be wired towards the compressor housing, if we are still talking about hx30s.
Mine would build 25+ before it blew the boot off, so careful wiring it shut
Bought a spring at ACE hardware, now I get 11 psi. Too weak of a spring I think.
Either way I have a BAD turbo drain leak that I need to resolve asap.
External 38mm WG and T3 adapter should be delivered on wednesday.
Run the external gate.
The holset wastegate actuator hits my A/C line, and even with unbolting the line and manipulating it there isn't enough room. So I'm solving via external gate.
(04-28-2015, 08:22 PM)MFSuper90 Ah I see. I ripped all my AC stuff out. What about the t3 adapter?

I guess I'm wondering why people don't just put external wastegates onto the EGR port on the manifold. One could also just actuate the existing EGR valve some other way (I can't recall how it is actuated, but if it only opens at high RPM, one could even use the EGR setup as a wastegate). The port isn't 38mm, but it would double the size of an internal wastegate and help feed a compound turbo setup. It is probably 20-25mm.
I remember someone using a EGR port with a little v band flange welded onto it. Seemed like a nice option.
I need to space my turbo out farther from the exhaust manifold, the compressor housing is lightly contacting the manifold.
I don't really venture onto forums very often anymore. But the car is still with me after almost 4 years.
Current updates:
-Swapped cut springs for H&R 50mm
-Swapped Enkei 92 wheels for AMG Road wheels (aka pentas)
-Rolled fenders front and rear
-Removed side skirts
-EGRless exhaust manifold + EGT probe
-VDO EGT gauge
-Low mileage stock Garrett turbo (holset was trash)
-New LUK clutch kit + pilot bearing (had a bad failure in april)
-Back to regular ole euro lights
Future plans:
-Order 7.5mm MW pump
-Install 60 trim turbo (purchased)
-Install W115 NA intake mani (purchased)
-Probably wind up with another HX30 lol
-Crank up current pump while bored waiting for 7.5mm
-Purchase and paint AMG kit
-Re-upholster front seats
-New carpet kit
Hey guys. Still around.
Car now has a Benzforce/dieselmeken 7.5mm MW pump, HX30, 3in v band stainless down pipe, 3 inch stainless downpipe back exhaust with all pie cuts and v bands, spec 2+ clutch kit, and all sorts of other stuff. Currently running 21psi and I see 1250+ EGT’s if I stay in it. Intercooler is next on this list, then water meth, and a re-machined Head.
Hopefully these upload off of my iPhone.
No photos showing up on my side of things.... Sounds like it's all come together for you though.
