Crower is regrinding my cams right now and we are looking at getting 30 degrees more duration but does anyone know how much lash the lifters can make up or has anyone had to shim under the buckets?

Sorry I'm of zero help here, but how much of the base circle is getting ground off? Just curious.

Cat cams sells .5mm valve stem caps.

Glad Crower is able to help you out! I'm anxious to see your results when finished, I may have to do the same. And lash caps were what I was thinking to compensate whats been taken off base circle also.

It occurred to me that you could have the cam plate milled down to make up for the smaller base circles. You would have to make sure the timing chain tensioner could pull up the slack in the timing chain or remove a link and also either adjust the timing gear for the cam timing or adjust the profile on the cams to get it back where you want. It might not be enough to make a lot of difference but it would retard the timing. You would have to degree the cams to find out.
