Could I be using all my fuel?
Could I be using all my fuel?
With my HE351VE I am getting no smoke and EGT's around 650c if I held it long time it would probably make it to 700c. I have fuel screw maxed out in my Dieselmeken 7.5mm pump. Is it time for an upgrade? Could I be using all the fuel?
I should mention this is only on 30# but I do have cams so maybe more air gets into motor.
What cc pump and hp do you have at the moment? I have 7,5mm 180cc with HX40 which I belive is about the same size as HE351VE and it made 433WHP with 3bar boost and a lot of black smoke. Engine is 100% stock. HX40 is too small for 180cc pump which should make 600hp when maxed out.
That's what I figured. Maybe I need to replace my lift pump or run more pressure. I have an eBay 044 I can try.
I'm not sure what are the differences but there are also 160cc 7,5mm pumps from dieselmeken, If you say you want to build engine max 400hp then maybe dieselmeken makes some internal adjustments to cc because you don't need 180cc or something like that. The other thing is profile or type of element.
My friend has two 8mm pumps, 150cc and 200cc. He said he wants pump for max 350hp and dieselmeken made 150cc pump.
I thought with the external adjustment they were all the same. You just adjusted the Allen on the outside for rack travel.

the cc output is dependent on the gov setings and type of governor, as far as i know dieselmeken uses 2 types of 7.5 and 1 8mm.
a 8mm can be 90cc. or 200cc depend on what u asked. turning the screws out wont make a 150cc into a 180cc.
the governor play a huge rule on that.
nevertheless 150cc should get u going with 350hp or more in a 5 cyl. 450 in a 6cyl, the rest is ruled by what mods u have and how they are working overall.

I just read my emails from deiselmeken....
Can you make my pump good for 450hp? How much fuel will your pump supply with no pressure to the ALDA if I went that route sometimes for mileage?
Yes I can do 450hp, but then you need 8 mm elements. I set fuel to around 55-60cc at low fuel and around 120cc at max when I deliver pump. You can easy adjust it up on the outside ALDA.
I belive it means that you can increase it to the max cc that pump is set to internally. When max cc is 150 then with maxed out alda it makes 150cc and 180cc pump makes 180cc, you can't get more because it is internally limited I belive.
If dieselmeken sends you 180cc pump it's usually set a little lower from ALDA and if you screw the alda to maximum it makes 180cc. I belive dieselmeken was meaning that.
I checked with dieselmeken regarding my pump that is set for approx 250hp since I'm going to use a Holset HX30W now but I'm thinking about ugprading for a bigger VNT turbo later on and then I want to increase the diesel amount. He said that he noted how much he set it to but that it was easy to adjust it later on the screws on the outside. I then asked if I could pull out 160cc if I adjusted the screws on the outside and that could easy be done with the screws on the outside he told me.. This is exactly what I wanted so I'm happy now Just posted to inform others with meken pump.
Let's make it clear, if you have dieselmeken pump then you have numbers stamped in to your pump like on this picture under. You can see there 8,0mm and 150cc. Numbers of cc vary depending on what horsepower you told dieselmeken you are looking for, for example I have 7,5mm 180cc stamped in on the same place. To make it sure first look what numbers you have there.
If you screw alda out then pump makes cc you have stamped in, pump on the picture has 8mm elements/150cc and if you screw alda out then pump makes 150cc not 180 or 220. Ofcourse there are 180, 200 and 220cc pumps but they are for 600hp and up.
