I'm looking for a set myself; its a little frustrating.  I emailed these guys (who I think might be the supplier), but no reply as of yet.

Arrow doesn't have them in stock anymore either.  Here's their answer to my inquiry for a custom order of six; 7 week timeframe and mucho dinaro (Kroner, dollars, sheckels, etc)......

"just set of six of these rods would be pretty expensive, rough estimate I would say that set price would be more than 2000USD.
Cant say "sure" price to set of six today, as we made those in sets of ten /60rods or atleast 18rods/ 3sets at the time.
in case of order 18rods price would be around 1750usd per set of 6. As special made forging and special desing we made this in past with Arrow, its not cheap one".

I was tempted to see if anyone wanted to group buy them, but considering the stock turbo rods are really good I don't see an issue with my engine - its probably why there aren't really many aftermarket options for the engine as the OEM parts are so strong.

Don`t know diesels but I have used China made (K1, SPM, PPF, Eagle etc) rods in petrol engines. Same rods but brand name on it. 200-250hp per cylinder without any problems.
Diesel torq is bit different with same HP number of course.

http://www.autoverdi.com/rods.html
They quoted me $300 per rod to my specification quantity five about a year ago.
I think this is every bit as good and probably better than Arrow. Apparently quite a following here in the US among the drag racing crowd. Some special alloy developed with Audi.
$1800 sounds fair considering it is a custom forging.
But then again I don't know any examples of bent factory rods in a 606 turbo unless the motor hydro-locked, in which case something is going to break either the rod or the crank or the block. So I would just use the factory item unless cost is no object and you are really pushing the limits.

Definitely pushing the limits on this one; Goran's 8mm superpump on the shelf lying in wait :-).  Unless I can get a reply from autoverdi (nothing yet), I will either be bending the stock ones or testing the chinaman rod's mettle......

I have no source or link. But all it would take is a stock rod sent to a machinist. Obviously it's a little more complex than that, but when talking about $500/ rod, I'd think it could be a viable option
