Hey guys i have a quick question for the benz gurus.  Last week I found a 91 600sel at my local wrecking yard with the v12 motor.  It was not the AMG model.  What rear end did these have, and will it bolt in to a w123 300d?

What about the transmission, is it worth anything to anyone?  Rated to handle 500 HP of the v12.  I didn't pull it yet, just wondering before it gets crushed

Depends on the year. Early ones have 722.3, later ones got 722.6. 722.3 on V-engine doesn't fit inline-engine. Only 722.6 has replaceable bellhousing. V8/V12 722.3 gearbox has fixed v-engine bellhousing.

Ok so it is worthless for us here. All good. Too bad the seats are too wide, they are in fantastic shape (last that I saw)
