om605 injector leak??
om605 injector leak??
what could be the problem when engine runs there is some smoke coming from injector at the bottom... I was pressing it and it made sound (psshh). when i opened the hood it was wet above 4th cylinder. when engine is running it gets smoke from the bottom of injector, could be a bad injector, bad washer or something more serious?
i had a problem with injector connecting hoses that were leaking diesel and slowly filling injector skirt. what is the best solution to fix that (hoses were new)
om605- 6mm pump 100cc and stock 606 turbo
cheers

Hi Antonio, I had the same problem with ours. I had a combustion leak on no. 5. The pre chambers seem to loosen over time. creates a 'chuff chuff' noise while running. most noticeable at idle. i had to remove the injectors, Remove and re torque the pre chamber retaining collar. this does require a special splined MB socket. And long tube socket for injector removal.
Take note that to "tighten up" the pre-chamber retaining rings: you must remove fuel hardlines, cam cover and the o-ringed trumpets as well as the fuel injectors themselves. If you let it be it will build up a nasty lack tar substance from the compression/fuel leak over time, very nasty to clean up.

I have put another injector shims and was okay for a short amount of time... il try to do prechambers today and tomorow hopefully that is the problem...
So i have info that prechambers go on 140nm tight, is that right?
Do you heat injector shims before tightening injectors?
Cheers
